Sawadee Ka
Hope everyone is well. Just a brief email to let you all know what I am up to. Won't be a long one as I've only been in Thailand a few days and much of it has been spent travelling either to or through Thailand. Arrrived in Bangkok Saturday morning after a pretty nice flight beats Bangledesh airlines anyday?no smokers, no puking Brits or dodgey food. Great to finally catch a few winks on the flight after 15 minutes sleep and a few bottle of wine the night before (thanks Sarah and Han for helping me fly Thai airways with a stinker of a hangover!).
BK hasn抰 changed all too much still gets a bit too much after a day or two there. But great to be back on the Ko San road and more importantly great to be back at the Sawadee Guesthouse. BK wasn't too eventful, although had a great drunkern evening with a friend, Lee in BK. After visiting a night baazar managed to find about the dogiest R n B club in the Pat Pong district and then quickly escape it. Woke up the next moring past my check out time (sound familiar Vona? I am starting to think drunkern nights out with Lee in BK are a dangerous idea!). Booked my train ticket down to Ko Tao that day, where I am now. Train ride was great much better than the crappy bus journeys we did in the past. Met a couple of mad Austrian guys from another planet on the way down here and a really nice Aussie girl called Nicole.
And here I am, all seems a little to civilised for my liking?.met up with a friend Brian and a few others here in Ko Tao卋ut because it抯 a diving island everyone here is really sensible and seems to head to bed around 11 after a couple of films in order to have productive diving the following morning?but in saying that I did fall asleep after 5 minutes of cold mountain last night?not quite sure if that抯 because I was tired or because the film was so crap! After being in a bit of a sleepy state managed to walk out of the restaurant last night forgetting to pay for mine and Brians food and drinks, so plan to go and make amends today! Plan to change these early nights and exchange it from a good deal of drinking tonight with Brian and the guys. Otherwsie plan is to spend a hell of a lot of time on the beach to let me catch up wih you Vona and Cathy on the tanning front. Not sure what the plan is from here on out, taking each day as it comes. Sorry no real exciting news yet, am working on it!
But Thailand is just as gorgeous as I remember it and the people as friendly. Itis still sinking in that only a few days ago I left dreary England (sorry to rub it in guys) and now find myself in gorgeously hot weather and stunning beaches. Will email soon when a little more has happened. Lots of love to you all.
